BSEB 12th Result Analysis

The Bihar Board is one of the biggest boards in India, with lakhs of students under its aegis. Every year, a large number of students sit for the BSEB Board examination; this year also it was no different. More than 12 students had sat for the Bihar Board Class 12 examination. In 2017, over 12.40 lakh students appeared for the Bihar Class 12th Intermediate Examination 2017, which were held between February 14 and February 25. Out of these students, just 4.37 lakh or 35.25 per cent managed to clear the board exam. Continuing the past trends, the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) had declared the BSEB Intermediate Result of 2017 stream-wise on May 30. This year, the board had introduced a slew of steps to minimize cheating and other malpractices. Before the commencement of the examinations, the Board has issued a notification where it had stated that no student will be allowed to enter the examination hall with shoe and socks. In its circular, the BSEB has asked students to wear slippers to appear in the exams. This year the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) had introduced 50 per cent objective questions in the Class 12th question paper. To attempt objective questions, each answer sheet had an OMR sheet attached in the front. The OMR sheet had three parts out of which students were required to fill only the first and the third part.

Bihar Board 12th Science Result 2018

The Bihar School of Education Board conducted the BSEB 12 Science examination from 6th February to 16th February and will be declaring the result on 6th June. Last year, the Bihar School of Education Board announced the BSEB Intermediate Science Result 2017 on May 30. The declaration of the BSEB Intermediate Result 2017, sealed the fate more than nearly 6.50 lakh students. A total of 6,46,231 students received their Bihar 12th Science Results of which mere 30.11 per cent managed to clear the board exam and 4,51,650 failed the test. The overall pass percentage in the BSEB 12th Science Result of last year also saw a mammoth dip compared to 2016's pass percentage of 67.06 per cent. On a similar note, the percentage of students securing first division also fell to 8.34 per cent compared to 21.77 per cent.

Bihar Board 12th Arts Result 2018

As mentioned above, the scorecard of the BSEB Intermediate Result 2018 will be available on the official website soon. This year, nearly 12,07,986 students appeared for the Bihar Intermediate Class 12 exams at 1,384 centres across the state of Bihar this year.

Last year, a total number of 5.33 lakh students participated in Bihar Board 12th Arts Examination. The examination was started on February 14, 2017 with Philosophy paper in the second session and ended on February 25, 2017 with Home Science exam in the first session. A total of 15 papers were held for the Arts stream over a period of 10 days. Out of total 5.33 lakh students who had appeared for the examination only 37.13 per cent students managed to pass the examination. The overall pass percentage saw a steep fall as compared to the BSEB Arts Result of presiding year, the pass percentage in the 2016 year was 56.73 per cent and it was a high of 86.74 per cent in 2015. In 2017, the Bihar School Examination Board cancelled the result of Class XII Arts stream topper Ganesh Kumar and arrested him for committing forgery, along with other charges. Kumar first appeared in the Class X examination and then in the Class XII examination to reduce his real age.

This year, the Bihar Board conducted the BSEB Inter Examination 2018 from February 6 to February 16 2018. The results were earlier supposed to be out on 7 June but have been preponed keeping in mind the Delhi University (DU) admission schedule. In 2017, the Bihar Board 12th Result was announced on May 30. The performance of the BSEB Inter students last year was very poor with only 30.11 pass percent in Science stream and 37 per cent in Arts stream. The scenario was a little better for Commerce stream in which 73.76 per cent students passed. Last year, a total of 60,022 candidates participated in the Bihar 12th Commerce Examination of which 44,273 were able to qualify the examination taking the overall percentage to 73.76 per cent. In 2017, the overall passing percentage was not good as it was 80.87 per cent in 2016. The performance in the Bihar 12th Commerce Result declined in last two years, the Bihar 12th Commerce Result 2016 fell by about 10 per cent when compared to 2015. In 2016, the overall pass percentage was 80.87 per cent in the Bihar 12th Commerce Result as against 90.55 per cent in the Bihar 12th Commerce Result 2015. Priyanshu Agarwal from Samastipur district topped the Bihar 12th Commerce Result 2017 with 81.86 per cent marks.

This year, around 11 lakh Class 12th students appeared for the BSEB exams 2018 at 1,384 examination centres across the state. Ahead of the board examination, the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) had released a notification to bar students from entering exam halls with shoes and socks. In its circular, the BSEB has asked students to wear slippers to appear in the exams. A “cool off” time of additional 15 minutes was given to the examinee. He/she has to use the “cool off” time for reading and analysing the questions and to plan the answers accordingly. He/she is not supposed to write answer of any question during the “cool off” time.

Bihar Board Intermediate Passing Marks 2018 – Regulations

To pass the Bihar Board Intermediate examination, the candidate must acquire 33 marks. But the marks are only applicable in practical subjects. It is compulsory for the candidates to score 30 points in 100 without subject matter. According to the board, it is mandatory for the candidate to score 21 marks out of 70 in theory papers and 12 out of 30 in practices. The board has made no changes in the marking system so far.

No decision on Grace Marks:

The Board has not taken any decision on grace mark procedure yet. The board has confirmed that the decision will be taken after the papers are evaluated. However, if the board awards grace marks to any candidate, it will be updated on the official website.

Like every year, this year also the Bihar School Examination Board will conduct the Intermediate Compartmental Examination 2018 for the students who fail in one or two subjects.
