Google Announces Android 9 Pie (Go Addition) for Smartphone, the most used search engine on the World Wide Web Google founded on 15 September 1997 by Menlo Park recently released stable version of Android 9 Pie to Pixel devices and today Google announced Android 9 Pie (Go Addition) for Android 9 Smartphones. Android 9 Pie is said to be the upgraded version of Android 9 Pie, in this upgraded version Google included additional storage, faster boot time, better security and more to bring improvements in Android devices. Also The “Go edition” brings a fully redesigned set of Google apps, which are specifically built to serve the needs of first-time smartphone owners.

“Along with an additional 500MB storage, Android 9 Pie (Go Edition) also comes with features like verified boot and an accessible dashboard for tracking and monitoring data consumption,” Sagar Kamdar, Director of Product Management, Android said in a blog post on Wednesday,
9 Pie on Google Pixel devices and on some of the Moto flagship smartphones. Some other bands participated in the P Beta programme such as Sony Mobile, Xiaomi, HMD Global (Nokia) , Oppo, Vivo, OnePlus and Android one devices would receive the update by the end of this year.
“We welcomed our first wave of Android (Go edition) phones this April, and now there are more than 200 devices available in 120+ countries including India, South Africa, U.S., Nigeria and Brazil,” Sagar Kamdar added in a blog post.
“A core part of these apps include unique features, like free downloading in YouTube Go, that aren’t found in the classic app,” Sagar Kamdar added in a blog post.
Earlier, Google has told that the new OS update brings a lot of new features the most popular of them all being the new gesture-based navigation method. While Pixel devices that are updated from Oreo will still see their three-button navigation by default with an option to switch to gestures. Other smartphone manufacturers will be free to use their own method of navigation and won’t be bound by Android to stick to the gesture-based methodology.

Also recently google Inadvertently added Aadhaar Helpline Number into their Android setup, UIDAI said the number 1800-300-1947 appearing in the contact list of Android phones was an “outdated and invalid” helpline number. Google has apologized for the same and said that the numbers can be manually deleted from the phones. “Since the numbers get listed on a user’s contact list these get transferred accordingly to the contacts on any new device,” a Google spokesperson said in a statement It also promised to fix the same in future editions of its setup wizard.“We are sorry for any concern that this might have caused, and would like to assure everyone that this is not a situation of an unauthorized access of their Android devices. Users can manually delete the number from their devices,” the statement added.
